The Community Advisory Board

 The Community Advisory Board for the Junior League of Lee County is made up of well-respected members of the community who represent diverse populations in the community, represent corporate and non-profit organizations, and are involved in community issues.

 

The Community Advisory Board performs several important and useful functions with the Junior League.  These functions are to:

i. Assist with long range planning

ii. Strengthen the Junior League’s public relations and visibility

iii. Involve members of the community who may not eligible for League membership

iv. Develop a network of potential contributors

v. Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of existing programs and projects

vi. Provide endorsements of programs from respected community representatives

vii. Serve as a sounding board

viii. Inform the League’s membership about pressing community needs

 

Each member of the Community Advisory Board serves a two year term.  Terms with the Community Advisory Board are staggered. The Community Advisory Board meets twice per year.
