Dear Prospective Member,
We cordially invite you to consider membership in the Junior League of Lee County (JLLC). We are an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Our purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
Currently, the JLLC is accepting applications for the 2018-2019 League year. If you are interested in voluntarism, have a commitment to community service, and possess a desire for developing your leadership potential, then membership in the JLLC will be a great fit for you.
The New Member course will run from August 2018 to May 2019. This course will familiarize you with all facets of the League and provide insight in the field of voluntarism. You will learn about our community’s needs and how our organization addresses those needs. Skill sessions are planned to further train you as an effective community and League volunteer. It’s also a great way to meet new friends and connect yourself with community resources with which you may not be familiar.
The 2018-2019 Membership Development Committee hopes that you will be excited and eager to be a part of our volunteer team. Information in the membership packet explains the requirements of the New Member Program. Please take time to carefully review these materials before making your decision to join. As with any volunteer organization, membership does require dedication of your time, energy, and resources. By the end of your New Member year, we hope that you will feel you have gained more than you have given!
Once you decide you would like to make the commitment to membership in JLLC, please complete the application and return it by August 31, 2018. You can return the completed application by mail to P.O. Box 3802, Auburn, AL 36831 or send it electronically to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to having you as a member of the 2018-2019 New Member Class. Please contact us if you have any questions.
